Entry Requirements
Prior management experience in the construction industry is not a strict requirement for entry. However, to truly excel in this programme, it is highly recommended that you possess a well-rounded existing skillset, a strong interest in the building sector, or previous exposure to construction environments.
Entry Requirements:
- Domestic Students: Must hold a qualification at NZQF Level 3 or higher, or demonstrate equivalent workplace experience.
- International Students: Must hold a qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 3 or higher (e.g., senior secondary certificate) and meet English proficiency requirements (IELTS 6.0 Academic).

How You Will Study
The Laurus NZ Difference: Integrated Portfolio Model. We believe in learning by doing. Instead of isolated exams, our
programme uses an integrated portfolio model. You will build evidence of your competency through authentic industry tasks and simulated construction environments.
Simulated Projects: Gain experience through "virtual projects" that reflect typical site conditions, allowing you to practice risk management and sequencing before entering a live site.
Face-to-Face Support: Delivered on-campus with tutor-led workshops, practical tutorials, and site visits to ensure you receive the guidance needed to master complex concepts.
Requirements
- Technology: To support your learning and portfolio work, you will need access to a computer or laptop, a microphone, and a reliable internet connection.
- Preparing for Study: To participate in site visits and practical simulations safely, you will need to be equipped with standard personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
Safety boots (steel-capped)
High-visibility vest
Hard hat
